So I'm going to have to rant here, and its on a matter that everyone rants about these days so... I cant even think of words I'm so infuriated!
It's work.
I work at an electronics/entertainment store in Sydney. I got the job in November last year, applying for a music advisor position, they didnt have any so I got counter, which is fine by me. The manager had told me that if a music position came up I would be a likely option for filling it. This was good, all I had to do was wait.
So two weeks ago, the father of one of the full time music guys died, so he is transfering to another store that is closer to his home so he can be with his family. RIP to his father.
Aside from the death, this is good news because it means a music position has opened up. My time has come.
Now in other parts of Sydney, in another store of this chain I work for, is a girl in a full time music advisors position. She is a Rebel Belle, which is basically the Australian version of SG. She quits her job at the store, planning on making a living out of Rebel Belles. Within the month she realises that its not going to work and calls up her previous manager and asks for her job back.
They have already filled her position there and have no vacancies, so they tell her that when a music position comes along at another store that she can get to they will arrange for her to get it.
You can see where this is going cant you?
SHE GETS THE GODDAMN POSITION I WAS AFTER!!!!
*grumbles*
Not only, is there a girl who foolishly quit her job, they TRANSFERED her in to my store when she DIDNT HAVE A JOB FOR TRANSFERRING!! BUT!! and here is the best part: she is going to move to Melbourne (which is another state for those outside Australia) in a few weeks!!!! I AM SO MAD THAT THEY PICKED HER OVER ME!
I have never even been late for a shift.
My manager is an asshole.
