So I think I am killing my orchid. I am really upset. I think its not draining well enough and that its not getting enough sun. But how do I fix the sun thing here in Portland? And I guess I need to find a gardening store of some sort to get better draining potting material. Maybe bark? Agghhh. I think I over loved it and it is dying.
But at least its friday huh? I guess I'll spend my Saturday hunting bark and navigating the buses. Then Sunday is the 1st Miss Portland rehearsal. I don't have a talent yet...nor have I filled out the application. Procrastination will be the death of me.

i feel like i might be the only member on this site who feels the pain of losing an orchid the way you do. it's kinda funny- i actually will get in a funk about it. almost like bad PMS. you can get special potting mixtures at the nursery store. but since they are so fragile when you repot them and yours sounds like it will probably really take a turn for the worse if you do that.... i don't know. do you have one of those special orchid pots, the kind that are pretty and squarish and have LOTS of draining holes. they help a lot. other than that, good luck!
miss portland, huh? too bad they don't have a talent selection for procrastination experts.
