For my roommates birthday some of her family friends gave her a bootleg Ani Difranco cd set and it is really good.

The has been a steady flow of guests to my room in the past 2 months:
For the month of October one roommate's boyfriend from France stayed with us.
2 days after he left, another roommates mom came (she didn't actually sleep here though) and the same day she left, same roommate's former stepdad came in (all for her birthday) and he was supposed to leave today but apparently his plane broke and they wont have another to that destination until tomorrow. And this past Friday, third roommate's little brother came. And then today her older brother has come. They will be here this week. Then they leave and second roommate's dad is coming. It's unbelievable.
No guests for me, so its basically business as usual.

I want to be a public librarian in a Portland Branch, though I haven't ruled out at an academic library. In my studies, I have tried to be as well-rounded as possible, taking reference, cataloging, and young adult service classes. I have one more semester before I have my Master's. Luckily, I only need to take one more class in the Spring semester, so this full time bullshit is almost behind me (four more weeks).
I want to work in Portland, as that is my home. I am hopeful that I will have some kind of inside connection, as I used to volunteer with the Multnomah County system and I attended PSU as an undergrad (thin, I know). Let me know what your mother has heard about the possibility of openings in the Portland job market. Thanks for visiting my journal.
