Today,
Pup's got bitten. I was so shocked. She didn't bleed.. hell 1 of the 2 dogs bit me.. and my g/f.

I was visiting my g/f and she told me it would be okay if I brought my dog. The whole thing was surreal. I pulled up and her dog was chained up (out door dog) and barking as usual. And I took my dog out of my car.. and she start barking at my g/f's mom (her way of saying hello). The dog.. breaks the chain(!!!!!!!).. and before the thought could process "Oh that's weird.. he's off his chain" He had my dog's neck in it's mouth. Now.. I guess sometimes rough housing with your dog is a good thing when a 60 lbs German Sheppard cross decides your dog is going to be dinner.... because she ducked out of the certain death grip and backed away.

This all happened very fast... after the 2 second shock I suffered... I pulled my dog by the leash (I put my dog on the leash in the car as an improvised seat belt) into my chest (Sorry Daphne!) and he caught her leg in his mouth. I spun (dumb on my part but no further harm) and got her leg out of his mouth and pulled my dog closer to my body. He kept leaping up trying to get my dog. I turned and he was there....
So I ran around my car holding my dog closer to my shoulders.

My g/f's mom opened my car door (You wouldn't believe how happy I didn't stick to habit of locking my car doors at this point.. let alone letting her off the leash after the car ride) and I jumped in (after doing a fear lap around my car waiting for the info to sink in). The dog continued to bark... at my window and so did my dog. They got it in the shed. I went out of my car to get my dog a treat (with my dog) when it escaped from the shed... I threw my dog in the trunk (where the treats were) and the dog turned and kept barking at me. I did my best to retrain my fear as that would make it worse. You could hear my dog barking from the trunk.

Eventually.. I calmly got back in my car while one of her sisters yelled at my "thanks now my dog is going to get shot thanks to you". There was yelling at the dog.. and my g/f got bit in the process of trying to restrain the dog. I told my g/f to get in (unaware she was bitten) and told her to open the back seat to get my dog out (folding seats). She couldn't figure it out.. so I got back and did it myself and let her out.... she grabbed my dogs' leash (still attached)... my dog barked a little (other dog still barking at me) and had the most confused scared look on her face. My g/f took her and reassured my dog while I got out the treat out of my pocket that almost costed my dog her life (the 2nd time) and told my g/f to give her some treats.

We drove out slowly as the dog was trying to get at my car....

Once I got away (adrenaline pumping) I said nothing to my g/f for a few minutes. After I calmed myself enough I said "I'm not talking cause I'm all freaked out right now, I'm not angry.. give me a few minutes".

We took my dog home and she was her normal self.. like she didn't nearly die. Me and my g/f were the only 2 bleeding.... I have 2 mm cut on my left index finger which could have been the attacking dog or my dog. My dog had 1 row or red marks that were clearly Kaine Tooth, to back molars on the right side of the dogs mouth... across her belly. I'm so happy there was no blood and my dog is very happy and her normal self (thus far). I gave her a bath.. and bathed her all over just to see if she would yip at the water.. she was fine... my g/f helped wash her. I couldn't find any other evidence of a dog attack so I don't think it totally intended to kill her.

After I confirmed my dog was okay (and repeated calls home later) I went back to my g/f's and had a long honest conversation with her mom and dad. It sounds like this dog is going to be put down.... I feel sorry for it in some way. I mean... I'm not angry at the other dog... but it has been left to its instincts in some ways that they couldn't get control of it. I said maybe it isn't too late to train it. (maybe it is)

The end tally....
- 7 Individuals Scared
- 2 dogs acting completely normal
- 1 two millimeter bite on my finger from 1 dog or another
- 1 inner thigh badly bruised and a superficial bite mark (3 marks)
- and 1 soon to be dead dog

Her dad brought up a good point...
"How would you feel to have to shoot your friend and bury him. Even if we get the vet to do it.. it may not work cause he'll be all riled up from a visitor."

I'm not demanding the dog be put down... and I argued against it. But they really have no choice.

I offered to my g/f that I would help her dad bury him if it comes to it... I can't kill another animal... but I will help bury it. That almost made my g/f cry....

I honestly.. am having a really hard time trying to figure out the victim in this story.... there is more too it... but I feel bad for everyone.....

the victim of all of this is of course the dog... most dogs acted like that cause they have been trained to be violent in case an thief tries to attack
I'm with u if they can control their violence next time instead a lovely dog like urs who has been quite lucky and strong it could be a baby children who has 0 protection against bites and all of that... there are stories like that now and then...

i am personally scared of big aggressive dogs cause when i was a child one almost bite me cause he thought i was food or something...most of the time the only reason they are aggressive is cause human crazy education

the whole thing is so surreal...
do u realize if they have to sacrifice him ( we use the verb sacrifice for this) they will consider u the responsible of that?
i think they should bring the dog to a trainer in order to see if he can be dangerous or not

I'm so sorry that you had to go through that! No one wants to see their dog in harms way or feel guilt over the life of the offending dog. I guess it's just that way sometimes though.
