Lately my desire to do anything has been pretty low.. but guess what!

Me and my high school friends are Playing AD&D again! w00t!

For the record... we don't play the classic AD&D Style.. we just have fun rolling the dice and laughing at each other.. mostly cause my friends aren't that serious about it.

I also tried downloading 'An Inconvient Truth' which lead to an RAR file that probably had a virus in it. I can't believe I can't find that movie online anywhere! it's like they don't want you to see it... and I can't even rent it out here.. and I'm not going to buy a movie I haven't seen... at least yet.

I was checking out the new Suicide girl photoset when I saw comment by fatality. I read her recent blog and it reminded me of 2 stories of when I worked in Toronto.

The 1st one being that this one time, I was in a subway and I saw this blind guy who was standing infront of an empty seat. I was really puzzled.. and you know how blind people are. Sometimes they won't mind the help, and others really get offended. Taking a chance, I asked him if he would like to sit. He actually wanted to sit. I told him there was an empty seat behind him and he just had to sit down. The teenager that was beside him (before he sat down) moved out of the way with a really embarassed look on his face. I'm still surprised at the blind everytime I see them. They are very capable people and get around very well. I'm also very happy that our currency (canadian) has brail on it. There is probably so many dishonest people in this world, would rip them off.

The 2nd story was when I was walking through toronto after ditching work for an interview. I could have made it back in time, but I decided to explore. It was cold, and I was walking enjoying my new iPod. There are some homeless people visible in toronto. I was walking by this old lady, and I saw that she was selling pens for a dollar. Nothing fancy.. just pens. I thought about buy a few pens off her to help out. But I didn't need a pen, and I didn't want to just buy a pen. I walked up the street exploring... on my way back down to catch the train home, I saw the same lady in the cold... still selling her pens out of a mug. I walked by didn't even look at her and stuffed five bucks into her mug. I don't know what inspired me... and I know what they say is that if your too compashionate you'll eventually go broke :S.

Back to the blog posting, it got me thinking in addition that how my younger cousins (by about 10 years) were talking about their "Grandpa"served and how WW2 happened so long ago. Meanwhile, to me... it still doesn't seem that long ago. The fact that a generation still lives (abit dwindleing). I'm kind disappointed that soon the next generation will forget the huge sacrifice that, their (grandparents) generation had made and how some cannont forget because of injuries both physcical and pyschological.

My grandma's dad, during WW1 was taken away by the Germans in Czechoslovakia because he sung the Czechoslovakian National anthem in a Pub and never seen again. I never found out this story until her funeral when my cousins told me the story. Who knows what we can tell our grandkids when we get old?

Maybe we'll tell them how we use to only have 1 hurricane a year?
liv:
yep our grandfathers are part of the recent history of the world... we cant ignore or forget what history has to tell us
my grandfather died past year with 98 years... he has an incredible mind... i loved his stories that he used to tell again and again...he was in the civil war of spain and he belonged to the band that lost... how he survived in a poor very poor dictatorial country, widowed with 3 children is like wow

u know giving a poor woman 5 bucks ok doenst resolve her condition but can help her a lot in that moment... have something warm like a coffee... but i know... we are not bill gates..we cannot feed the world

kiss glad to become ur friend
