I had the bestest weekend in a long time.. Friday night I went to work, one of the companies where I work had an 'appreciation night' they bought us dinner and drinks...well after a few free beers we were getting bored so one of the guys goes lets drive to Calgary (6 hours away) I said sure, this was at 7 but we decided we needed another couple of guys to absorb the cost..around 930 we found 2 more guys...well we all ran home packed a quick over night bag and we were off to Calgary at 10pm. We got in at 5am and after driving all over the city to find a hotel that would let us check in early (by half a day) we found the howard johnson...they were great. So we crashed for a few hours woke up went to the mall, hooters for lunch then downtown to find a place to watch Game 3. After being kicked out of a bar before we even got in we found a small bar with lots of great people...we had a great time and after the Flames won we drove/walked around Calgary for hours celebrating....we finally jumped in a strangers car and he was nice enough to drive us to some celtic bar by our hotel..(I lost my digital camera somewhere along the way) but it was still a great weekend anyway...
look forward to going back there for the Stanley Cup parade
