2011 started with me living in Comox BC and preparing to go to war. Despite the few operations I have been apart of, this will be my first real war. By March I was in Afghanistan. The first few days were surreal, even though I'm a writer, I don't think I can explain exactly what I experienced during that time. It was the most intense experience of my life. I did my job, for 5 months I worked every single day at least 9 hours a day, I was subjected to no less than 35 rocket attacks. I would go back in a second if I could.

Once I returned, I had to pack up my house and move to Winnipeg Mb to start a new job and new life. I bought a beautiful house and a great new car.

During this year I have also laid the ground work to start my own publishing company.

2011 left me single, with great memories and a bright future....what I hope for in 2011 is that I have someone special in my life, my career advances, I continue to enjoy my house and the sequel of my book gets published. Since I now own a publishing company I have a feeling it will.

I have hated my life for a very very long time. I hope 2012 holds the new beginnings that I have wanted for so very long, not only for me but for the many others that have felt the same I have.

My SG family is still the closest family I have, siblings included.
