Happy news:
I submitted, for what I hope will be the final time, my manuscript to the publisher. I'm pretty excited to have my work FINALLY in print. I'll keep you posted.
whiney emo news...
As I mentioned, I'm coaching a female roller derby team. It has bee a blast, and to a point still is but the trouble is, I fear most of the girls joined for a social network not to be a part of a team. Now I can see the team slowly starting to stray apart. I really have high hopes for the team and league...so we'll see.
On a side note, when I started I wasn't going to "meet girls" but to skate...I will admit there was a girl that stood out, gorgeous, very happy, just overall an amazing girl...I was sad when she got back together with her "on again off again" bf but knowing what I know about her lifestyle, up all night partying, working all day, i couldn't keep up with her anyway...
What has me kind of bummed is that one of the managers of the team and I were hanging out. At first there was no "feelings" involved...but we got along great...then she was going through a hard time and she and I spent a LOT of time together and even though I knew we weren't each others types I was starting to think, hmm possibly...anyway, like I said, we spent a lot of time together and sitting around a fire she even sat on my lap and held hands etc....BUT a few days ago an old friend of hers showed up with a friend of his...they were really cool guys and her friends friend was her type...and well, she took to him like a moth to a flame and more or less left me high and dry...again, we were never dating nor were we going to BUT my problem is, this isn't the first time this sort of thing has happend. I am always the guy that's suitable when there is no one better around but the first sign of something better I'm left high and dry...it sucks and people wonder why I am so reluctant to meet someone or date...
