well, I went to an airshow this weekend, proving there is such a thing as a stupid question...
the stupid question wasn't "well this must be a nice break for you" BUT I was asked that...I answered as civily as possible but my true response was...if i was really on a nice break i'd be on my couch sleeping. I mean I LOVE airshows, I love my job, but well I'd rather travel operationally (like in the caribbean) then for an airshow but they are fun indeed.
btw, I leave for australia monday I can't begin to tell you how excited I am, I just don't want to get to carried away until I am actually airborne.
i have pushed away anyone who has dared to get close in the last few years, I know, no matter how great a girl is, its going to end badly, I can't afford to befucked up because of a relationship so i avoid it...so why does the odd one slip by

I thought you were gonna be in Edinburgh RAAF? Now you're gonna be 2000km+ away, and I'm all out of money.
