I talked to my friend on the phone very briefly today. The sound in her voice...I have never heard her like that..I barely kept it together. I wanted to be strong for her...She has always been so strong, everytime we talk, no matter what was going on, we made fun of each other, we always made each other happy...I know these aren't normal life circumstances, but it was awful listening to the tone in her voice, me being unable to say anything coherient...I mean what do you say to her? BUT, I did tell her I was thinking of her...I told her I was there for her whenever she felt strong enough to call. Its all I can do and I feel so useless. She said she wasn't a good mother, she said she let him die. It broke my heart, she talks about her kids with such love, she does anything she can for them to provide them a great life...she did that, it was just an accident..but how do you tell her?
