Ok, so I've passed the written exam part of my driver's license test. I have to go back at 2:15 to take the driven test. I'm halfway there. I only got one question wrong. But that means I got a 95. So yaaaay.
I just hope I look good in my picture.
[Edited to say that I look horrible in my pic, but that's ok.... Read More
I don't know your real name, so that one will have to do. How are you? I'm doing pretty well. I'm glad you passed your written test, and I hope you do well on the driving test. I'm sure you'll pass with flying colors.
I haven't updated my journal in awhile. I don't know what keeps me from doing it; I have ideas, I just don't seem to be able to put them up on the screen. I think I have technology-related writer's block. Well, maybe it's just general writer's block. Maybe it's fear of doing poorly. Maybe it's fear of doing well and not being able to work up to those standards again.
Maybe this should be my journal. Is there such a thing as a journal pirate? I don't think there is.
Well, it's time for me to go to the ATM. I hope this letter finds you well (I know, you're supposed to put that stuff at the beginning, but I just don't care). Write me back soon.
Sincerely,
Joseph
PS No, you didn't write me a letter you just forgot about. There is no explanation for this, except that I felt like writing a letter to you.
Yo, Lee Lee.
Isn't keene, NH where they make all the matches in the world?
If you liked Prozac Nation, check out:
Andrew Solomon's "The Noonday Demon"
and Kay Jameson's "An Unquiet Mind"
The last one is about bi-polar, which is my gig but she writes quite well and wisely. Everyone should be able to relate. Noonday is very educational. I had my first depressive episodes in high school and it took another ten years to get a diagnosis and another five to understand anything about organic brain disorders, but I've learned a lot and managing my life is a lot easier than it used to be.
If you have no experience with depression and just liked the book, for a foil I'd check out old grumpy william styron's "darkness visible", as the man can turn a phrase with the best of 'em.
Already feeling better today- maybe the storm cleared the air some, both the inner and the outer. I cried a lot and felt much better afterwards...sometimes crying helps so much. Today the earth is much more firm beneath my paws.
I photoshopped the picture just to be dumb. i really wanted to resize it better but it wouldnt let me do much. you think its no good?
and the rise was BROWN. not nearly as yummy as the fluffy white stuff :/
