So my best friend came to visit today from San Francisco. We're going to be going to Knotts Scary Farm tomorrow. Since my birthday is next month he brought my gift early. His birthday was in february and I hadnt seen him since january so I had a rather late gift for him. He's a really talented guy and likes to tear things apart and rebuild them, especially electronic things he can circuit bend. So I had picked him up one of those creepy Sing-a-majigs cause I knew he would love to tear it apart. Spent a whole 20 bucks, cause I've been having a pretty hard time scraping by lately. So he opens it, has a laugh, says thanks and hands me mine. Its in a medium size box and clunks around inside. I'm expecting a little toy or something, maybe a transformer or a new Doctor Who toy. I give it a shake and open it. Its a fucking 32 gig iPhone 4. My face dropped, i stared at it in awe for a few minutes then just looked at him. "Theres no way you can afford this" I said "Sure I can" he says, "its for the business, you need one to test on." Now I've never really given friends hugs, only girls, but I gave him the biggest man hug I've ever given. Now I feel like a total ass cause I bought him some shitty little toy and he bought me a $300 phone that I've been dying to get since july. I have no idea how to make it up to him. He's definitely the best friend I could ever have, and I am incredibly grateful to know him.
