So, today, I had to run a demo of our game for Todd MacFarlane, one of the art directors on the project. I'm not a fan of his work, but the fact that I was in the same room as the guy who co-created Venom and drew Batman: Year 2 gave me a geek boner like you wouldn't believe. And my boss is a Hall of Fame-bound pitcher who loves video games. And the guy writing the story for our game is a fantasy author whose books I ate up as a kid. And even though I collect comics and play Warhammer, I'm not the biggest geek in the studio. And I get paid a ridiculous salary to work on a game with people who worked on Everquest, Dungeons & Dragons Online and World of Warcraft.
Holy fuck, I can't stop singing 'Animal Nitrate' to myself. It's been in my damn head all day.
