I spent the day atop the seawall in Hampton, New Hampshire, observing less-than-epic sets of unsurfable waves roll into shore, and waiting for a call that did not come. You know what's not so cool? Waiting by the phone for a call that you find out was never going to happen. Anyway.

I found out that the game I had been working on before I moved to Massachusetts is still not finished. Several of my former co-workers are doing weekend duty just to get it shipped. Ouch. I feel bad jumping ship on them before the game went to gold mastering, but, honestly, I had to take this opportunity when it came. Besides, I made my decision based on the project schedule that was available at the time I made said decision, and the game was supposed to have been done by now. I still feel like a heel, though.

Get this. My best friend in high school, the guy a lot of people figured would grow up to be a serial killer (yes, I ran with the freaks and geeks crowd), is a married homeowner who is about to have his first kid in January. That officially makes me the only single person amongst the people with whom I graduated from high school. Well, the people I stay in contact with. Actually, I think I'm the only single person at my new company. My relationship status came up in conversation the other day, and I got the usual patronizing 'Oh' that I get from married people when they find out I'm single. I wanted to tell the person to whom I was talking that I had been dumped by my fiancee for a writer on a sitcom, but really, is personal information like that an appropriate topic of conversation with someone you've only known for a month?

Now, I must pack up my shit so that I can check out of this hotel tomorrow morning. I will miss watching Arnold Schwarzenegger in 'Predator' on Cinemax every night, but I am looking forward to entertaining in my new place. Consider this an invitation for autumn barbecues at my abode. You'll have to bring the coleslaw, though.

He also ate the internet, modem, router wires... my wacom wire... and the 7.1 surround sound wires(hard to know where I'm getting attacked in Bioshock because it all sounds like it's in front of me with my only one speaker he didn't kill...)

I think he's going to make it... blush blush blush

Oh I hadn't heard that. Good times. What ever happened to Dodson working on it? Geez, for a guy working in the media, you think I would be on top of it all. Well, that would be pretty awesome to see.

Wait, Dodson was just working on regular WW, right? Or did I imagine that?
