yeah i can see that. but i'm a big fan of fairy tales, fables, mythology, etc. in general. i have 3 fairy tale collections, and a number of modern re-tellings (either novel or short story collections), as well as a few theory books. so it seemed only natural that i would like fables.

that being said, it damn near broke my heart when some dumb as shit girl presented on them in my graphic novel class and then proceeded to vaguely rip off the idea for her (really, really awful) graphic fiction piece for the class anthology.

aaaaand finally when i got books regularly i got like 17 titles a month, which is nothing for some people, but a lot compared to 1.

yeah i totally took a graphic novel class last semester, it was pretty sweet. the concentration was on non-superhero books though: maus, persepolis, american-born chinese, american splendor, jimmy corrigan, fun home, and the anthology of graphic fiction. still ew could present on whatever we wanted, and some people did do superhero books. i did a craig thompson book.
