I need your opinions on something. While I was in Toronto for the holidays, Ms. Mary Jane Richards emailed me on Christmas Eve, and wrote that she wanted to meet me for 'coffee or something' and catch up. Like a coke addict fresh out of rehab who is presented by his regular dealer with a free sample of Colombian pure, I wrote to her that same night that I would like to meet up while I was in town, and told her to call me so we could set something up. However, in the succeeding week, I didn't hear from her. There was no way I could have missed her call or mail, as I was checking both phone and email messages pretty regularly.

What should I make of this? Here is my theory. She had a tiff with her current regular date buddy, and in a fit of nostalgia or of a desire to make her boyfriend jealous, she contacted me. However, after she wrote me that letter, she made up with her beau, and she completely forgot about me. In other words, I am, as the Who sang, her substitute for another guy. Am I crazy?

Whatever the story is, she is one fucked up bitch.

Good riddance to 2006 and to Mary Jane Richards.
