Alriiiiiight.
So I just wrapped up another music video shoot! Should have something edited and online in a week or two. Well, I just shot it, so whenever the director and editor have it done, it'll be online.
Wait, I guess I should clarify this, since I'm new to this blogging thing and anyone reading this probably doesn't know anything about me.
I have a production company with one of my friends, here in Columbia, SC. Sunrise Studios is our name. Check out our videos! WWW.WATCHSUNRISE.COM ! Seriously, go check out our videos. Last November we shot this video for a local band called "The Noise." The video is goofy as hell, there's a monster Chimney chasing around the drummer from the band, killing everyone he comes in contact with. He has to call a chimney sweep in to take care of business... good shit, I swear you'll enjoy it. So, yeah, I do camera work. I do editing too, but being behind the video camera is my forte. I shot this whole video. I also do steadicam work. At one point near the end of the video I was running in circles on a roof with a steadicam strapped on! It was amazing.
So, yeah, back to what I was saying. We just wrapped shooting another video on Monday night. It's sweet. It's for a song called "Go Hard" by this up and coming rapper out of Charleston, SC, Righchus. We made a video for him last year (another awesome video, it's up on my website, called "Ridin'". If you can appreciate this sort of thing, the entire video is one continuous steadicam shot, done by yours truly
). You can check out WWW.RIGHCHUS.COM to see the older video we did, and I'm sure the new one will be posted up there when it's completed. The video we just finished has a couple guys beating up Righchus at a car wash and throwing him in the trunk of their car. But then Righchus starts smoking (literally, not putting fire to anything) and the chaos ensues. Should be great! I'll keep you updated.
Also, this weekend we're starting shooting for the next Noise video, "Zebra". It's going to be a take on the movie, "Videodrome". Should be cool. Plus, for the first time ever, I'm actually going to be IN one of the music videos that I shoot. I can't say I'm thrilled about this, but it should still be fun.
So yeah, that's what I've been up to this week. If you're reading this, please check out watchsunrise.com and tell me what you think of our videos. I appreciate honesty! If there's something you don't like, tell me! If you enjoy our stuff, we have a facebook group for Sunrise Studios, and we're on MySpace at myspace.com/watchsunrise . Do it up!
Oh yeah, one last thing. I'm going to see TOOL tonight in Charlotte! Woot! My all time favorite band! Should be a kick ass show. Can't wait.
PEACE!
( check out me with the steadicam, just to prove i know what I'm talking about
