Thanks to everyone who's left a nice b-day comment. Not up to much today, other than a really nice bottle of Cabernet that I've been saving for a couple of years. It's 70 deg. outside, so I might go swimming with my daughters later this afternoon. Sometimes life treats you ok. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to fall...

Back to reality tomorrow, but...

Wow--many, many drunken journal replies last night. Sorry if I offended, but I was drinking bourbon which tends to make me very chatty.

Morningwood. Wow--what a fun band to watch. Morningwood is pure energy on stage, and Chantal has more moves and sensuality than Christina Amphlett and Siouxsie put together. The show was more punk than I was expecting, which was a nice surprise. Take the opportunity to see this band before they bust out big-time.

Now, back to boxing all my stuff for the big move on...

Nah. #7 wasn't that bad. I was really happy to get the beer. It's what I was into back then, so it was actually a decent present.

God help me, I LOVE Morningwood. I will see them this Monday in SLC at the lo fi cafe (a really cool venue) with a bunch of my friends as a last hurrah before we move to Palm Springs.

(Edited to remove embarassing drunken commentary)

wow, I think that's what I meant to say. In order to be who I am I need to draw lines that I cannot cross.

So, Palm Springs. My wife starts her new job at an engineering firm there on November 1st (she's a civil engineer, specializing in city planning), and I've already started three new homes there. My daughters are really excited to move someplace they can swim every day, and my wife is excited to be appreciated and paid appropriately for her abilities.

Fuck Utah and it's patriarchal,...

Vegas was a bust. I'm not cut out for corporate life--I may as well have been working for Micro$oft, except our product was design, not software.

So I put my tail between my legs and came home. Palm Springs may happen next spring, and I have an offer from a small firm in San Diego--but I want to keep going on my own, and not...

that sucks, ... LV is a hard city to make it in, depending on what your occupation is. We are going down for stage/convention work, which is growing everyday, with new convention centers and theaters popping up all the time.
Hope things go well for you in the future...
