I had to come up with some sort of Basketball design on a cake for an 8 year old boy - I didn't have any basketball cake kits or toys so I just pulled this out of my ass. I hope he likes it:



And then I've been spending the last couple of days decorating these little mini Christmas Tree cakes me baker had been very enthusiastic about baking. After a while, I got really sick of green frosting and gumdrops, so I came up with something entirely different.

I was very sad to leave yesterday. I know I'll be back though, to see everyone and to help with a few projects here and there. My Asshole boss changed his mind and decided to allow my Fiance to leave his cess pool of a bakery downtown and come up and replace me and work in mine. We're both very happy about that, as is my baker.

It still just feels ... strange. My new job starts tomorrow, and I am very very nervous. I keep doubting myself, like the things I'll want to do I won't be able to - or they will all think my ideas are unacceptable or something. Or that the other cake decorator will think I'm coming in to show her up.
