An eventful day, for once. I went to the Michael Moore rally at Youngstown State and it was fucking jammed. Easily over 1,000 people, but YSU has a small enough campus that you could barely move inside Kilcawley or even outside where they had a projector and some speakers set up. I arrived 15 minutes before it was scheduled to start (and 45 minutes...

halfway to your ass? woah dude. yeah, lets talk about girly shall we? mmmhm

my favoritest friend-boy used to let me paint his toenails. usually only when he was drunk though. it was funny to see him look at his feet the next day and not remember me painting them.

"what the fuck? why are my toenails orange?"

Eloquently put. Well done.

They think theyre hot shit in a champagne glass, but theyre actually cold diarrhea in a Dixie Cup!

With each day that passes, the wound grows more grievous. Only time will tell if it can heal, but the prognosis is bleak. I'm told that amputation will soon be the only solution, but because it is an affliction of both the mind and the heart, I'm not sure if they're proposing to cut off my head to save my body or my body to...

It's been getting harder and harder to haul myself out of bed lately. I was entertaining hypotheses about seasonal changes or my abysmal sleeping habits, but I think I've discovered a better explanation.

Nothing in the world is worse than living an entire day you wish you could erase. Your alarm doesn't quite wake you up, or you smash the snooze button a dozen times....

yes yes. i hate drugs but its another thing to be jailed for using them. the problem i see with that is that most "correctional" facilities lack the proper drug rehabliltation programs, let alone the principle of doing time for something like USING drugs. selling in large amounts and what not though. thats different.

one veil dance comin up.

a hobbit hole would rule huh? thats what i went with although i like the airyness of a nest. im slightly wigged out by heights

So here I am. I'm not far from being 25 years old, I have two technical certifications I'm learning don't mean crap without relevant experience (of which I, apparently, have none), I've completed the equivalent of maybe two years of college but even if I started school again I'd just be an inexperienced guy with a college degree (and the economy is likely to be...

maybe you're being a bit dramatic about my missing reagan. she only went away til friday and then she leaves again and again.

whatever job you do, make yourself irreplaceable, and work harder than the other guy. sage advice from a smart guy i know. you would love his job i think.

Ohio is just bleak. Once the weather turns to shit it's REALLY bleak. Get outta there!

I'm a certficate student , too. I've been passed over on a lot of jobs that I was way overqualified for. They went to much younger punks with degrees and no experience, so I'd have to say school is worth it, even if you're bored there.

I'd choose to be a photographer in a perfect world, but you still have to put on the act, kiss up to clients, hustle your ass off... It takes a big chunk of cash and a lot of good promo to hit it big as an artist.

Consulting can be a really good gig if you have what they want and they're willing to shell out for it. I do strategic planning for nonprofits from time to time. Other people make huge bucks doing it. I just get the satisfaction of a job well done.

Anyhow, the boards are kind of boring without stockula to rant at...

For anyone who hasn't already figured it out, I am a nerd, a dork, and a geek. I say this not because it's a fact I just discovered, but rather because I just had an experience that so thoroughly confirmed it I thought I should share it in the interest of full disclosure.

For anyone who doesn't know, the Playstation 2 is the undisputed king...

as i was sitting on the sidewalk this afternoon petting a cat that had found shade under the rear of my parked car i thought "there arent cat people or dog people. there are animal people and i am definitely an animal person"
odette:
yeah granted they both have bachelors degrees i think one can get a job there without all that.... of course they are in LA so i think that would be a long commute for you no? my bro just got back from canada where he was working on a project for them. why he had to go up to canada for that im not sure but getting paid, plus a bonus, and free hotel room was rad.

oh man, you're good at what you do.

No you don't suck.

The trick though is be like the annoying buzzing fly landing in everyone's journal. Eventually they will stop swatting at you and accept your presence. If they like you or not is moot, because then you can lay eggs in their brain.

Had a conversation with a close friend today, and we hit upon an important political concept: People need to be able to relate to the candidate they vote for in presidential elections. All the other crap - foreign policy, environmental regulation, abortion rights - is peanuts next to how much the candidate is like the average American.

Now, I'm not exactly a Kerry supporter, but...

When life gets me down I often make up words. Actually, I make up words a lot; I guess I'm just usually depressed.

obliviocity, noun
&-'bli-vE-&-s&-tE
Etymology: Late Latin oblii, from Latin oblivium jerk, from Greek oblivikon pain in the ass, from neuter of oblivikos of a moron, from obixon ass, asshole
1: a tendency for individuals to inappropriately apply theoretical generalities to...

I post this here because I know that if I posted it where it belongs Id be found nailed to a cross in a couple of weeks. I present, for your edification and amusement, The Lamest Poem Ive Ever Written:

It was 1492
when Columbus sailed the ocean blue
and discovered a land, once found,
that killed the theory of Flat Ground.

Yeesh. After a 24-hour posting marathon on the CE boards yesterday I thought I was doing well; today I get involved in some more personal threads, choose an "improper" word here and there and manage to piss off half the site. I'd love to retain some impartial observer to go trawl through some of my recent posts and tell me if I was being intolerant...
