So, I'm back in southern California for the next week. Usually when I come out here there is a bunch of my co-workers/friends that are scattered about the country that come out as well. Drinks, stories, and general catching up or craziness happens... Good times are had by all. This time, for the first time in years, it's just me that is back at the mothership. Actually feels pretty weird, and a bit lonely, not having my 'people' hear to hangout with. Or even to grab a drink with at the hotel bar. I know I'll survive :) I travel alone all the time. But most of the time I travel there are people to meet up with at the end of the work day... not this time for me. I think the really weird feeling will come this weekend when I'm really running solo with nothing to do during the day and night. Again, I'll survive...but it would be cool to have someone to share a drink with at the end of the day.
