i had a pretty nice holiday weekend.

got out of town for a couple nights and then barbecued for the missus on monday.

went to pleasure island with all my closest friends and for the first time didn't get so shit-faced that i spend half the night hugging the commode. i tended my buzz well. for once.

i got what i initially thought was me being "stuck" with a more costly room in orlando due to making my reservation late, but when i get there i discover that the room is a king suite with a jacuzzi tub. score. and i do mean score. the girl was impressed. with the room, that is...

one downer: the text message from the ex. sometimes it's nice to hear from her. not this time. i just don't get it. most of the time she doesn't want me, then all of a sudden is in jax with her boyfriend and for some reason wants to see me. fortunately i was safely out of town.

ugh. life should be less and less complicated as we get older...
