First I'd like to say, the rest of the New York pictures and stories will be posted eventually. Hopefully by the end of this week. Just been super busy this week with work, homework, etc.

Two of our friends had a birthday party for their 1 year old girl this weekend, so we stopped by that. The amount of cuteness was almost unbearable. Luckily we're still getting used to having a puppy, so the baby situation is safe.

Then we had family over for a "thanks for taking care of our animals while we were in NYC" dinner. It was a lot of fun, even if our apartment was a bit crowded. Everyone seems to get along well, and the wife can make some tasty dinner.

I'm trying to get back to reading more. I haven't really put a whole lot of time into it lately. Any recommendations?

I watched a couple of things recently.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Alice in Wonderland
I thought it was.....mediocre. I might have just had too high of expectations, but I honestly feel like Tim Burton gets by on weirdness alone these days, instead of solid story telling like Big Fish. I will say it was extremely pretty, and I'd like to see it on Blu Ray at some point. I was just a little....let down.

Waltz with Bashir
So I had to write a short essay about a portion of Persepolis, and then someone had talked about this movie, and after watching the trailer I bumped it up to the top of the Netflix queue. Really an amazing movie, but it's rather heartbreaking. A day after watching it I just started crying. It has one point to make, and it makes it expertly.

2012
Let me first admit I slept through the first 45 minutes or so of this. Having said that, I should have slept through all of it. It was cheesy and a bit too unbelievable. Usually summer blockbuster style movies are, but this one was just too much for me.

Going to try and see Cop Out or Green Zone this week sometime.

I didn't dislike 2012 although it's an all too seen clich!

I still have the other 2 to check out, but I'm now very curious about the Waltz with Bashir!

Thanks for the recommendation, I've downloaded both already smile
For you I recommend a reading... The time traveler's wife by Audrey Niffenegger, there's also the movie, but obviously the book is better although the movie is good also.
