*This is not a whiny, mopey blog*

Last year, I had a film fall apart, nearly got sued by 2 people, and had to settle with an actor to avoid a lawsuit (cost me $2,000 that I didn't really have). This film had a chance to get me exposure, but ended up with me being hated by the cast, the crew, and dropping off the...

I've got filming this weekend, followed by editing, DVD authoring, and trying to schedule a premiere to generate some buzz for me and my company.

Interviews for film crew positions next week.

Applications for empty cast positions to go through, and reject. (Why is finding a homicidal "manic pixie dream girl" so damn hard to find?!)

Now all I need is a miracle so I...

History never remembers those who thought it was best to just fit in with everyone else; it remembers the misfits, the rebels, and those who chose to stand out.

You end up having a dream where your teeth fall out. Thanks brain.

@dmaggot Most of my dreams are like surrealistic recaps of my day. I knew as soon as I started reading about dreams, and when I read the first "my teeth falling out" blog, I would end up dreaming about it.

After playing around with some DVD authoring software, I finally found out that I can add commentary tracks (as many as I want) to all of my films. So, I guess it's time to have some fun, and record a few different commentary tracks for that film I'm distributing. WOOHOO!

Every film festival told me that my short film is too long to be programmed.

Just to spite them, I'm going to film 3 scees I now feel the film was missing. So, yeah, it'll be longer.

My plan: sell DVD and download copies of the original and extended format, and use that money to partially fund my next film.

LET'S DO THIS!

No, I am really proud of this short movie, I was just trying to be modest. I have a lot of reassons to be proud of it, we were just 4 guys and the 2 actors ( the man on the couch is the director) and it was done in only 24 hours, counting from the script to the last scene beeing shoot. It was our intention, our goal to do everything in 24 hours. And we are going to do it again next 19th. Our new goal is that in the future this can became a moviment around other cities and directors, everybody shooting a short movie in 24 and later maybe put all these short movies together. We are talking with people from France, China and some here from Brazil too. You are from England, right? Do you have facebook?
oneimill:
@leonardoprodutor I'm actually in the US. I have a page for my company, you can check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/OneInAMillionPictures.

I'm pretty introverted. I wasn't always, but with time, and bad relationships, I've become withdrawn. I don't speak much, and most of my comments come across more like grunts than anything.

AND YET, if you put me behind a camera, and put me in a room with people interested in film, art, photographer, what have you, I'm one of the most open and friendly people...

@dmaggot I know that feeling. I live in a state where everyone's goal is to get a state job, work there for 30 years (and then keep working until retirement), and success is measured with a lower number on a black license plate.

@johnny_truant8 "City" is a perfect description of Dover. It's an overgrown town full of strip malls, and people with little to no aspirations.  And I like the idea of being conditioned to be non-responsive towards conformity.

If watching the brilliant films of Stanley Kubrick has taught me anything, it's that a greater understanding of photography can help create some amazing films. While I'll never be as great as Kubrick, no one will, I want to follow his example.

I guess what I'm trying to say is...OF COURSE I WANT TO BE, AND WILL TRY TO BE, A GODDAMN PHOTOGRAPHER FOR SUICIDE

@oneimill I'm waiting for a travel in the USA for a set with you. Know it! I love Kubick.

@usagimomo You have no idea how much I'd enjoy that.

So, I made my decision about the whole "aspiring to become a photographer, and I know a bunch of you supported the decision, but...you're gonna have to wait until tomorrow to know what my final decision is. I just want one more night to see if anything major happens that changes my life, and I just like building suspense.

In the meantime, THANK YOU to...

I had a brief conversation with @sagan_ this morning about possibly becoming a photographer for sets on here. I certainly have the equipment for it, and I'd like to see it do more than collect dust between film projects. I'm not sure if I'd really consider myself a photographer, but I am getting more and more into cinematography in my films, so this would give...
