If I could go back in time, and change anything

There's a lot of personal shit I'd change, but I'm going into that now because no one would want to read a manifesto of bad decisions I've made.

So, if I could go back, I'd travel back to end of 2013. I had just completed filming my film "Inheritance," and got it all edited. At the same time, I had just completed the script of my first comedy. Now, this was the first time I made a film I was proud of, and I was so eager to get back to work that I ignored promoting the completed film, but also the audio. In fact, I waited until the end of last year to even touch that, and spent most of the year trying to beg for money from people who have never seen any of my work.

Sadly, this alienated a lot of people who were interested in my work. One, they never got a chance to see a film they were interested in. Two, without seeing anything, I expected them to fork over sums of money. That year of money seeking led to me, and my company, becoming pretty irrelevant to most people on facebook, twitter, and even in Dover. So that by the time I got "Inheritance" out, most people had lost all interest in it.

Luckily, I have a film I can actually afford to make, and now I can treat this like a reset. I can make the film, get it edited, do the sound, and find a way to release it, all while not losing focus on "you guys have to see this film because it's awesome." Sure, this sets me back in terms of moving on to bigger things, but I'll just have to be patient, and work my way back to that point.

Damn, it's like I learned something.

Learning something is almost always good!  Those who do not learn from the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them.
