For the past 4 years, I've wanted to make 1 film. Sure, I've made others, and I'll keep making others, but this thing is everything I want to make:
It was dark, violent, and yet, at times funny.
It had a kick ass title sequence planned.
It featured a twist on the old "Cops and Robbers" plot.
It featured a planned soundtrack of Punk, Grunge, and a fuck-ton of Mudhoney.
It featured a badass chick, who is still considered, by many, to be the greatest female character I've ever written.
And as I sit here, re-reading what I still consider to be my best script, I feel the need to make it. Perhaps it's time to put past failures behind him, to ignore all self doubt, and begin tracking down producers, conceptual artists, and make this film come true.
Perhaps this is the right time to make it.
