As of a few days ago, I joined a site called Juntobox. On this site, you pitch your film idea to subscribers, who rate it and follow it. To get their attention, you have to generate buzz for the project. I have decided that the best way to do this is to give insight into the characters of the film, and I'm choosing to use photos of what the characters will most likely look like As of now, I'm focusing a lot of my effort on designing tattoos to be made into temporary ones for a model (or the potential actress) to have on her for a photo shoot.
The character is a early 20 something, Washington state based heroin dealer. Her personality has been described as cunning, independent, ferocious, alluring, and yet there's a fragility and femininity to her. She is incredibly self-reliant, and keeps people at a distance. She has a bleak/cynical view towards relationships, and enjoys the idea of toying with men.
As of now, I have a double crane heart set piece designed as seen here:
However, the character, both in the script and in my mind, has always been fairly heavily tattooed. For now, I'm focusing on the tattoos that would be most easily be seen in the photos. So, the chest piece is one, but I'd also like a half sleeve on one arm, and another tattoo that goes from her ankle to just below the knee cap.
@almost_missed suggested a badass version of a cartoon character for the sleeve, which inspired me to come up with a play on that where a cartoonish Medusa is smiling, and holding the head of Perseus (sort of a reverse play on her death in Greek mythology). I also like the idea of a large oleander tattoo, as the flowers are both beautiful yet deadly.
I'm pretty much looking for some ideas to bounce around right now.
