For the past 3 years, I've been making live action films (I was an animator before that). Until the last few months, I've been doing my own form of self-taught film school. This basically means I've made a lot of mistakes, and tried to learn from them. I took some time off when my last project failed (and boy did it fail). But now, I've taken everything I learned, and I learned how to do a lot in that time off, and I finally made something I am truly proud of. For those who have seen this film, the feedback has been incredibly positive, even by those who had a lot of criticism of things I've done before.
With that, I'm about to start on a new project, and the budget is a lot bigger, and I'm going to keep pushing myself to make a better film than before. For this budget, I've decided to take a big leap, and start contacting distributors for my previous film, and try to get some money for the film I've made, as well as try to get distribution for the short film series I'm making.
This won't be easy, and it won't exactly be fun, but I'm finally at the point in my life when I want to take what has been like a hobby, and turn it into my career. So here goes nothing, right?
