before this, i sat on the sand and held his hand wielding light, wielding the moon. it was bitter and clear how the stars came down to caress this side of my cheek and dance alone my collarbone to rest on the tops of my knees. hollowing out myself, the stars travelled weary miles to join the universe inside.
sojourner in the dark, i carry them all inside now. i travel everywhere in a second and no where in an eternity at the speed of burning flames. always in my cloud carrying tiny bits of fading light, once glorious, in place of my once beating, once pleading heart.
and still i ask, can i have it back now?
