I think I'm becoming a workaholic busybody...and it's nice. I realized that I like having some sort of future commitment in something. I'm by no means to the extent where I'm working 40 hours a week and taking five classes, but you'd be surprised how 20 hours a week at work can fill out someone's social life. I think that in a way work has replaced my social life...but honestly there was nothing there in the first place. Me becoming depressed and lonely while dwelling on just how I offered my pen to someone at school is....pathetic.

But really though, I feel a void when I don't have some sort of commitment. This is actually the first year I've never done some sort of sport...weither through little league, football, track...I've been in some form of organized sport since I was 5 years old...That's a 14 year streak that's ending. I would have continued it more but the program at school was so half-assed that it made me want to vomit. I still have roughly 100 dollars worth of discuses (disci for the latin lovers) in my trunk from the school that I don't plan on giving back. I'll keep throwing on my own with them, which is about what I was doing when I was doing track.

It's a good time.

So i really don't like a blank schedual. I mean you get that initial relief of not having anything to do, after that passes it's just terrible I think. I'd much rather plan out a vacation or something and spend that time being productive in some way instead of sitting at my house watching t.v....

Oh! AND SPEAKING OF HOUSES....MY PARENTS BOUGHT A NEW HOUSE AND I'M MOVING IN A WEEK!!!! Granted I'm going to be out on my own soon if all goes to plan with the college applications..but it's still really nice getting a change of scenery. My family was forced to live in our current house and we weren't happy at all with the final result and thankfully through inheritances we're getting a chance to go to a place that fits us. It's a turn of the century victorian house with a tower-ish feature on it. I'm going to be in there a couple of days before everyone else moves in so I'm hoping to work out some sort gathering with friends. This isn't a party..technically. Just 5 or 6 work friends who bring beer and get a little toasted while enjoying everyones company. That whole buy-a-keg-and-get-strangers-to-damage-property thing really is not my idea of a good time.

I swear to god, I've got the mentality of a 30 year old.
