"UNSENSORED"
Every wonder why you tend to bump into the same people randomly ever couple of months or so.
THis is like the walking around in your circle type of thing. It depends exactly how big that circle stretchs and who is walking in that circle. Right now i feel like i am my own inner circle, which isn't really a good thing....to come back down to realtiy what i am trying to say is why is it you tend to bump into the same people every couple of months or so, so randomly.
Is there some kinda of connection there? Does it have something to do with Destinee or in a sense are you on a shared path to somewhere. Is this shared path really shared or is it a Destineee for only one person to reach? What the hell am i talking about. How the hell do you spell DestinEEEE.
Anyways, almost a year ago i interviewed some gals in a band who were doing a local show with Scratching Post, J Englishman and Moment of Truth. THis band that i interviewd is called "UNSENSORED" and all gal band minus the drummer. They were pretty good, if i remeber correctly i got to name one of there songs that did not have a name as of yet.....i ran into them months later at Warped Tour and said hey.
Intersting to note is that i saw some of there group on Much Music not to long ago. They were not being interviewed but where in the audience and asking a question to a little girl named Sky Sweetnam about how she was discovered. There are a couple of ironies in this, besides they were an undiscovered band asking someone who is discovered how to get into the buisness. She gave some twinky hoe hoe 14 year old answer and i thought to myself how unfair that so many people deserve to share the limelight while the companies out there choose to go with people who are barely teenagers sometimes...why?I'll tell you why it is so they can manipulate them into compromising there message into whatever they think is going to sell or get a demagraphic.
In music, or bands or whatever you have these groups who represent a large portion of society. Music does bring the people together, but we are being manipulated, brainwashed and it's not starting with the 20 somethings, but with 14 year old girls and boys. Priming the future disposable income.
ANyways, to string my madness along.Sky Sweetnam album cover is a picture of her face with a heart around her eye. Well i go by one good eye and i also directed a short film entitled Heart Shaped Box. The reason i know this piece of information is that i work at Sunrise Records.
What's even more interesting is that last night when i went down to the city for the Sunrise Christmas party I saw these gals yet again from the band Unsensored. They too work at a Sunrise in the Toronto area.
Funny story during the night i was smoking my new herbal cigarettes outside the bar. And this limosine pulls up with all these young people coming out of it. So's i thought to myself it looks like they work at a SUnrise, i know's i'll try to i.d. them.
As they approach the door i ask, "are you with the sunrise party". And there all like"YAH!!!!wooo hoo party. And i'm like ok i need to see i.d's then. And they all get this wierd look on there faces,"i thought this was going to be an all ages party".....I let it go a couple more seconds as a girl is about to hand me her id and i'm like,"no nO, it's ok i work for sunrise too. ahhhahhahahahha GOOD TIMES. They laughed a little and I laughed alot cuz it was priceless.
Hmmmm on more thing, i was on much music a while ago as well on a show called Much Talks about Violence. Where i was able to make a comment on possible solutions for teen violence. Pretty much to summarise what i said is that even though it appears we are all different, really we are all the same. We need to simplify, have respect for human life and love each other....or something like that.
