i was in barns & noble yesterday looking at all the wicca and satanism books they had when a woman told me i should be looking at the holy bible section instead. I asked her why and a whole 2 hour conversation about religon unfolded.

she told me how she had spent the first half of her life "doing wicca and buddisim thing," and that part of her life was wasted because she now knew that everything in the bible was true. She said that everything good mankind has done has been directly caused by God or the Holy Spirit, and everything bad that mankind has done was what man is really like, and everybody need to be forgiven for all their sins (which can be anything bad, including your own thoughts). She also said that when I die i will be judged and sent to hell unless i choose the "correct" path which is cristianity, specifically at a local church named Bethany. She continued to say that in the future everybody was going to have microchips inplanted in their wrist "just like cats and dogs have today," and anyone with those implants is going to go to hell.

personally i've never seen a cat or a dog with a microchip inplanted in them.

Needless to say after the whole thing was done i was quite pissed. I respect other peoples beliefs, and will not try to change them, what the fuck gives her the right to try to intimidate me into believing the almost cultish things she believes? I also dont see how leaning and experiecing other religons and belief systems is a waste of time. bah, hopefully now that i have spent some time writing about this i will be able to stop thinking about that woman and getting pissed.
