So I've been reading short stories by Franz Kafka and he's quickly becoming my favourite author. I'm surprised I had'nt come across any of his work before. The imagery is sublime. It's like he's able to capture the essence of dream logic into his writing. You know how in dreams things follow a certain familiar logic you can follow even if it's completely nonsensical outside of the dream realm? Well that's what I was most impressed with with Kafka. I heartilly recommend his writings. Put down your Harry Potter or your Da Vinci Code and read something of substance. Read Kafka!
