right so i'm depressed we all gathered that. and i'm sitting home today. one because i don't have to work today YAY, and two because i'm broke and need to save money and get ready for tomorrow night, 75 cent beer at the bar. Hell yea, i'll be drunk for under 10 bucks. LOVE october. either way to my point. i'm sitting at home today not doing much of anything, and getting lost in my own thoughts. which is fun to do, ask yourself questions and see you get the right answer. most times you do cause you made it up. who cares if it's right.
(new paragraph thanks to mockingbird)I was thinking about the past. Not my past but just history in general and i came up with some thing that probably alot of people have thought about but still, i'm writing it down act like you never thought of it. what the hell has our generation done? the only thing i could think of, was make the internet popular. ok think about it like this, let's go back a few hundred years. The place, England, The year, i can't remember, but a bunch of guys got together and said hey we don't like what the king is doing, let's change it. they wrote the magna carta and changed shit, yes i'm abridging things, i know alot more happened but it's too much to type this late at night. jump ahead a few more years, people leave england and come to america, england is still running the show, the new americans don't like it, they change it. jump ahead a few more, the french get pissed at the crown and over throw it, few more. lenin is fed up with russia, get people together and changes it, and this happens all over the world, the last time it almost happened here was the 60's, with the war and the civil rights movement, they tried to change the world with protest and petitions and passing new laws. but there comes a time with you have to say, ok this is just not working we can't play along with the system anymore, we need to change the system. people have been doing it for generations, if the old ways just don't work anymore, change them.
But alas it's a hard job and no one seems up to it. who wants the burden of changes an entire society. But you don't have to look at it that way. you deal with this in every day life. you see a wrong, you right it. you see something broken, you fix it. or you send it out to get fixed by someone else. and that is the key this can't be done alone, you are going to need help and backing. and what is the right path to go down? i don't know the answer to that question, everyone has a differing view. there are so many ways to look at the system, and find what's wrong, you could start with the finacial aspect. the politicians are too greedy and don't really care about you or what you have to say, as long as you give them enough money to run their campaign, they are going to vote in their best interest. is that the problem? is it the two party system? do you we need a whole bunch of parties and many differeing views on things? Could that change everything? the founding fathers knew times would change they knew their history and what had happened in the past and what they were a part of. we have the ability to change the constitution. why don't we do it more often? if you are a congressman, is it your job to just take the opposing view of the other party or to listen to the people you are supposed to represent? i don't claim to have all the answers to any of these questions, i just think that our generation needs a purpose and this is it. Our american capitalistic democracy has worked for a good number of years, but it's broken and needs either reworking, or reestablishment. what are you thoughts?
