ok so I've been delayed again BUT...

If the proposal goes though without any changes from the chief I would start my new shift on the 14th and 15th of next month. I already have scheduled time off on the 6th and 7th SO....

My last day on my shift would be the 31st and 1st. Then I would be off for 12 days. I like that. The paramedic who was going to be going to a 40hr work week decided that it was time for her to move on. She is quitting and going to nursing school. Good for her . Caught everyone by surprise, but you can't fault her for wanting more out of life. We'll miss her, hard not to when someone has been around for 7 years.

I'll know if everything is a go when II get back to work on Thursday.

Work was interesting. We rescued a kitten stuck under an AC unit at the local hotel.

There was a Quad rollover out at Indian Valley Reservoir. Took us 50mins to get there. Took the Air ambulance 12mins. I think they cheated . So they flew the mom out with a possible skull fracture and I got the 7yo boy that looked like he just fell down and skinned his knee. He got pretty lucky, nothing serious. Long ride back to the ED though. like an hour and half of that was on a washboard dirt road. He did really well though.

We also had a 12yo boy that cut his foot pretty bad. On the way I guessed that he cut it on a tin can lid. I was totally right . He was ok. And good advice for everyone. When you cut yourself bad add more layers don't take off.. Paper towels, cloth, gauze, whatever...keep him there even if it soaks through. If yah pull them off you remove the blood clots that are helping to stop the bleeding.

I had two guys that dislocated their hips just walking. Nice guys, and both were Raiders fans .

I got two IV's by pure luck . I'm pretty proud of that.

We got a great clock for our living room. I have named him Tick Tock.


Got a free coffee pot from My Grandma yippy for coffee.

Got the new madden...Got into an online league with the guy who is in charge of the player's ratings..kinda neat . Still got the skills, won my first game yesterday. I love football season

Picked up Alan Wake....that game has made me jump and curse at the screen twice so far. Good stuff.

Maven has got 2 really cute rats. It's nice to have company when she is at work. They are pretty entertaining
