I never realized until today how much a smell can effect a person. I was serving one of my customers Earl Grey tea today, and happened to smell it as I was giving it to them. It took me back to when I was 16 and staying at my second cousins place in Saskatoon. My hunter green room with stucco spots covering the walls, giving it a very odd look, with the beaded curtin closet cover. But I loved it. The small living room where I just had enough room to practice yoga, and no room to practice latin dance. It was in that house I first started to drink tea. As soon as a got home from work thiis afternoon I had a cup of Earl Grey, I mostly just wanted to smell it, to bring myself back to happy simple times.
I'm thinking about switching jobs, before it was because I didn't like it. Now I'm worried about my safety. One day a couple weeks ago I was outside for a smoke when two "gangstas" came and started talking to me. When I went back inside, there they were sitting in my section drinking two cokes. They just sat there looking at me, drinking. When they were leaving one of them asked for my number, when I didn't give it, he kept pushing, so I gave it to make me go away. That day he must have been back 5 more times. When I got off work him and his buddy were just standing out side the restaurant, waiting. So the managers got me to use the back door. Thankfully Mr.Thug lost my number, I only know this because the manager told me he had been by. More then once, asking for me, and when I'm not there he asks for my number, which they won't give to him. Tonight, while I was working he came by, I made it pretty clear I didn't have time to talk and hid in the back until he left. The manager told me that when she wouldn't give him my number he got hostile and pushy.
This needs to stop.
