Excellent work! I just hit 50,000 words ... a year after I started it in last year's NaNoWriMo. The story's nowhere near finished, so still loads to write yet, but I'm happy to have hit this milestone.

Thanksgiving doesn't sit well with me. Well, let's be honest. Holidays don't sit well with me. Birthdays, military remembrance days, that day coming up that has to do with someone else's religious icon. They just make me feel hypocritical, excluded, and icky. Bread is actually relatively easy...it takes a while because you have to let it rise, but all things considered, it's not that hard to make. :-) The hardest part is always waiting for it to cool enough to cut into!
And yes, definitely piles of puppy kisses and snuggles. She's a sweetie-pie!

I was born and raised in Texas, but only 23 miles from the Louisiana border, so for all practical purposes my home town is more Southwest Louisiana than Southeast Texas. Anyway, I grew up and spent my entire life in a heavy Cajun French culture, which I love. To me, the are few thinks more appealing than a Cajun-French accent. I love the culture and the people, and consider myself lucky to have lived my entire life in and around it!
