I spent my entire sophomore year of highschool sick. It all come to a head the day before my junior year started, when I felt so horrible I was screaming, had a 106 temperature and ended up in the emergency room, on an IV, getting a spinal tap.
They couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, so they decided to treat the symptoms....and fed a drug into my IV, something that no one had ever been allergic to. I set medical history, went into anaphilactic shock, and my life was saved in a 30-second window.
I spent the worst week of my life in the hospital without visitors, swelled up like a circus freak, tied to IV-on a stick by my bed.
....I haven't felt that bad since. ....Until yesterday night when I felt like my neck was tearing off of my spine, made a scene at my best friend's birthday party, left in tears, and was cared for by a boy who makes a better mommy than my mother ever did.
I feel one million times better today, and I'm still in agony. Some days, my body really needs to die.
