random thought before I disappear into the ether.
writing. deadlines. trying frantically to compose 4 songs, melody, lyrics and instrumentation......all tonight. Of course this would be using my new version of finale.....which doesn't seem to work.
I could explain what is happening, but since hardly anyone here probably uses music notation software.......imagine if you were using Word, and when you went to insert or change a word, it just placed all the letters on top of each other in the space of a letter, rather than moving the existant text over. And then imagine if it would not allow you to read the document unless you started at the beginning, so anytime you were reading it, each time you got to a typo and changed it, you had to read the entire document again from word one before you could get back to the paragraph you were working on.
violin. I have a really crappy violin. It has a pretty aweful sound. My teacher is trying to get me to buy a really nice violin.....she says she's thought about getting it herself as a second instrument. It should be worth $5000, but she thinks the seller willdrop to $3000. .....I'm so bloody broke, and it seems like a really bad idea.....but at the same time.....well I'd love to actually be able to make pretty noises if I'm gonna practise for hours and hours. I'm debating diverting my savings (intended to go toward a trip back to Australia, for.....some deviant activities that AaronsRod knows I'm contemplating) to it, but I can't decide if it's stupid or not.
That's about all there is in my life right now.
That and rampant, untapped lesbianism.
