Tonight I saw some of my music performed. This would be .the ....7th time in my life that I've seen my work performed for an audience.

I kind of love it.

Thanks, honey!! I'm having so much fun with it. Best part about the ones I already made (except for the key one) is that I can make as many of them as I want...the tooth mold and the bone mold are permanent. Technically I can make a whole bunch of silver keys, too, but I only have one original, so that particular necklace will be unique.

And the key shinkage...well, the material I use always shrinks approximately 12% in the firing process...so I didn't shrink it on purpose, I just couldn't avoid it, ha!

Having a musical theatre job is starting to have it's perks. Namely free tickets to shows. I shouldn't get too used to this. My contact at Broadway in Chicago will probably tire of keeping me in entertainment after a while.

Got last minute comps to a preview of the pre-Broadway debut of a new musical, Pirate Queen, by the teams that did Miss Saigon and Les Mis and Riverdance.

In short.....it's about a fiesty Irish woman named Grace O'Malley who bullies her way into command of a ship, and ultimately the Irish resistance to English rule.

new camera.

spent a bunch of money today. Bought a new camera and a lens. Of course the lens and the camera don't match.

i got a pocket sized point-n-shoot, and a telephoto zoom lens. i can use it with my film camera until I get a body.

odd, buying an slr lens for a point and shoot. makes me wonder what you were thinking at the time...but i can see it being like an investment that you can use now and use much more later down the line.

Tonight, on a whim, under a little pressure from the notorious ladyk, I actually got out and saw humans.

New conclusion: I like humans.

People are nice.
