Ideas can be so seductive, and we are so easily seduced. We forget that ideas are just that, abstractions that have been thought up.

We often lose ourselves in ideas and become so caught up in them we cannot distinguish between ourselves and the idea. When we reach this level of enmeshment with our ideas, we experience any attack on our ideas as an attack on our being.

Being so attached to our ideas often result in a widening gap between what we are espousing and what we actually do. How often we kill in the name of love. We talk about cooperation and we try to force it on others. We get an idea for high productivity by demanding an adherence to our idea. We start out carrying the idea ans soon it carries us.

I will not let what i think destroy what I believe.
