kind of a lame birthday but it was sufficient, tomorrow is the real celebration so we'll see how that goes. tonight was just a fiasco, everywhere we tried to go was jammed and we were starving, ended up just grabbing a burger and beer at some random place and giving up when we found there was bands and a cover at the rogue, came home and watched motorcycle racing which was cool
tomorrow we're getting dressed up and going high class for dinner and cocktails, should be fun
got the coolest bday present today, i check my voicemail after work and there's a a message from dave and bridget from flogging molly wishing me a happy birthday. a buddy of mine was going to see them play in minneapolis tonight and ran into them at a bar and asked if they'd give me a greeting and they eagerly agreed, paul wins major points for that one
also found out that buddy that lined up above call set a date for his wedding so now i'm not only going back home in august for a rally i'm also going back in july for his wedding, guess i should start tucking money away, at least with the wedding i can do a super quick fly out friday night fly home sunday thing so i don't have to take time off work, and the bonus is that most of my friends will be at the wedding so i don't have to line up a bunch of plans, now if only i can work it so i don't have to tell the parents i'll be in town it will be perfection
work is going well, the job is totally basic but it keeps me busy and the days go by fast, everyone there is so amazingly nice that i really have no complaints other than a lack of opportunity to be able to sneak smoke breaks cause my bosses office is right by me

Yup, Visqueen is a great live band - ya gotta love a band that's ducttaped together - at least at the two shows in the Baltimore/DC area I saw the guitar player had duct-taped her strap to her guitar, and the drummer had ducttaped at least one of his drums so it'd stay a drum.
