i've been reading news reports of the tsunami but hadn't turned on the TV until last night, the footage is absolutely devestating, i was sitting there in shock, reading about it just isn't the same. i can't imagine what they're going through

in better news, my brother hit the road today for his move to phoenix, hopefully he can make it down here for our new years party. he'll have a week before he starts working though so we'll have some time to get out and show him the city some and help get him situated

so now i'm just waiting on an update to see how far he got today. after reading these news reports all day about families getting wiped out by the tsunami the thought of him driving cross country in winter makes me all nervous, but i know he'll be all right

geez, two things i forgot

1 - jerry orbach dead, man that sucks, fucking lenny, i stopped watching law and order religiously when he left

2 - i somehow only found out recently that they're doing a movie of sin city, and it looks FUCKING AWESOME!

EDIT: it's 2:30 am and no word from brother, he didn't leave minneapolis until maybe 1:00 pm phoenix time and him driving 13 hours isn't out of the question at all, but i'm gettin tired and don't think i'll sleep very well without an update, that little shit needs to get a fucking cell phone
