last night i drove about 100 mph after work to make it to the echo & the bunnymen show. the band put on a great show, they have a really full sound live i don't think translates well on their old albums. i used to consider them a kind of guilty pleasure, but now i've changed my mind. they rock! highlights of the show included 'rescue', 'killing moon', 'seven seas', 'the cutter', 'breaking the back of love', and excellent covers of 'walk on the wild side' and 'loose'.
i think i'm going to skip out on the NY dolls tonight at the troc. basically, since the band is mostly dead i figure it'll be the buster poindexter show with NY doll's covers. but i could be wrong..
