My job preys on the lowest form of society. I work at a "payday loan" firm with five different names. We give desperate people $200-$500 loans and then charge them 1000% interest every payday so they have no way of ever paying the balance back. It's my job to try and get the people to pay more after their checking accounts go bust. Yay capitalism.
Blondie was a great show- I don't know if any of ya'll made it out there cuz it was so packed. There were a couple of people I thought might have been from SG, but how do you go up to a stranger and ask them if they patronize a porn site?
I heard Social D. is coming to Philly, anybody know where? I'm gonna look on the net today after work.

I know what you mean about seeing people from SG -- i went to the San Diego Comic convention.....i saw two SG grils and a couple of members i recognized (i think) but i didn't know what to say....."hey i've seen you naked!" or "hey you like to look at naked ladies online too!" Gragh.
Just thinking.....society, at least as far as the circulation of money is concerned, has become (and perhaps always has been) extremely predatory. Even the place i work, a cooperativve grocery that is supposed to be democratic and influenced by its community, is really just run by one manager who keeps making all the decisions without listening to imput, and upping the price of things just to increase the profit margins.....i don't get it. She really doesn't care about people. I think the only job i could feel really good about would be helping a non profit or charity, and usually those don't pay. That or selling stuff i had made, or services i could provide myself. Jobs are horrible. But you have to survive....and not a lot of people have the energy or patience to try ditching the job and surviving entirely from busking/dumpsterdiving/freelancing/etc. I have respect for some people who do that, but i couldn't do it. Also some part of me hopes that eventually i will be able to work up to or find a job where i am benifiting people and society in some way, but i know i am not anywhere close. Hell, i would settle for a job that just interests me a little but that doesn't appear to be anywhere in the near future either.
