Once someone learning archery faced the target holding two arrows.
The teacher said "Beginners shouldn't hold two arrows, because counting on the second arrow results in carelessness with the first".
Each time, determine that you will settle the matter with this one arrow, with out worry about whether or not you will succeed".
This admonition should be applied to everything.
When people practice an art, they always think they will have another chance to try again, so they are not aware of the slackness in their minds at the moment.
It is very difficult to work in the immediacy of the present moment.
