Friends are the best. One introduced me to Spybot Search and Destroy at http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ and it took care of my laptop's woes. Plus I discovered that I'd had a corrupted BitTorrent that I'd been downloading for a long time and after downloading 97% of 4.2MB, I had to pitch the thing. Bummer.
But, I'm over it and today's a new day.
Saw Collateral and liked it. It made me miss So. Cal a little bit. Just sorta. I love Seattle and all but feel a bit antsy to move. I'd like to go to my daughter's neck of the woods or someplace she'd like to move to after high school. She want's to be an actress! Yup. She does. And I'm all about pursuing your dreams and letting nothing or no one stop you, so I encourage her to do just that. Thus, she's thinking of going to school in NYC or LA and both of those sound all right with me at the moment.
I'd like to get away from the West Coast for a change, but I'm not totally bent on the the idea. We'll see what happens.
At the moment I don't think I should forget my own dreams of getting into med school again. Getting kicked out has really burst my bubble and I'm still bummed and bitter about it, but I think I need to just get my head cleared and back on track with that, in some way, shape, or form.
Turning points. I think they can be a bit scary, because I just don't know where the hell I'm going anymore. Phlebotomy is boring. Lab stuff is boring. But, if it's a necessary or useful stepping stone, then I'll procede as usual. I just want more. I hate settling and I've been settling for way too damn much and reaping the sorrows for it.
Well, onward and forward. Today's a day of relaxing and reassessment I guess. Since I only got 4 hours of sleep last night, I might just try to get some more. And masturbate too. That's always fun.

this afternoon, I cut my finger and needed 4 stitches. I had to go to Harborview since I'm without insurance. They're great people though and it was no sweat. I got an updated tetanus shot and the nurse that gave it to me fucked with me as I couldn't see the needle...he said it was gonna hurt real bad and to brace myself and to tell him when I was ready. So, I took a wad of my hoodie in my mouth and bit real hard and said i was read only to find out he'd already given me the shot.
Him and the cute nurse that was stitching me up just laughed at me. c'est la vie.
But, I'm over it and today's a new day.
