After just two months this lady I was seeing and I are no more going out. We had some good times and I thought we were a pretty good match, but there are definitely issues we both have that do not make us such a good pair after all. She's still bitter about her divorce and I have med school to deal with. I think she wants someone who can spend more time with her than I can, which is totally understandable. Anyway, she blew up at me for no reason last weekend, apologized and claimed it was just all stress, but I think it was just a flag to me that we weren't a good match. I don't have time or energy for such drama and need to focus on school, so we split. She asked if we'd still be friends. I said yes. Then she got bitter towards me for not giving her a break and for distancing myself from her so quickly and easily, but you know something? After you've been hurt so much, you learn that that's what you need to do to preserve yourself. I could be wrong, but that's just me. So now she's pissed at me for not giving her a chance and for just wanting to be friends. Med school is important to me though and it's what I need to be committed to so, I'll probably try not to get involved with anyone again for a while, if I can help it.

I had a good first week of medical school. We had 2 preclass quizzes where you had to pass the quiz to get one point towards your final grade and I passed both of them. Then we had 2 group verbal presentations next to our cadaver where each of 4 of us had to participate and understand what we were presenting in order to get a point and our group got each point for the 2 presentations. Then we had a 20 point pin test where you needed to identify something specific on a cadaver, or answer a question about the object, such as its embryological origin, innervation, or blood supply, and I got 18 out of the 20. I could have at least got a 19 if I didn't change my answer that I had initially, but I second guessed it and changed it to an incorrect one. The last point that I got wrong was a little tougher in that I wasn't able to tell the difference between an artery and a nerve, because they were both next to eachother and looked so similar. The catcher was that if I would have followed it back a little more, I'd have seen that it was coming from another more obvious artery, but I was a bit jittered from the previous question, where I'd second thought myself and changed my answer, and this was all timed where we had only 1 minute at each of 10 tables. So it was a quick 10 minute pin test. But, overall, I'm happy that I did so well and I'm hoping that I can just keep it up.

Have a great Sunday!

med school? way cool.
second guessing on tests always gets me into trouble. massive amounts of trouble that end with me kicking myself in the ass. blackeyed
