I was supposed to go out with some friends to the pub last night, but just didn't make it. My foot is hurting now and I have no clue as to why. I imagine it's related to one of the following: truck vs. bike accident, post truck vs. bike accident, worn out shoe padding, or a pinched nerve in my left buttocks due to my sitting funny too long at home. Go figure.
What's hurting just as bad, if not more, is my chest. Ugh! If it gets any worse, I will have to suck it up and go get an X-ray. A guy at the bike shop thinks I could have stretched some cartilage. Why didn't I think of that? I'm the one who's taken anatomy both in jc and ms. Oh yeah. I failed it in ms. Maybe that's why. Anyway, I think he may be on to something. Initially the pain in my ribs was closer towards my armpit, but now it's right over my heart so I'm thinking that it's the same rib and that the trouble may be with the cartilage connecting it to my sternum. I dunno. IT JUST HURTS LIKE HELL. Especially when I cough. OUCH.
So, I went to bed hella early and woke up hella early. I'm gonna go back to bed soon. It's just that I can only sleep on my side that's opposite my injuries because I can't put pressure on my chest, upon which I prefer to sleep, or the side thats injured, obviously. Oh, hum. I can't wait to get over all of this and stop whining. I'd rather be wine-ing, but alcohol and acetaminophen (Tylenol) do not go together. Because together, they kill your liver. If you don't remember anything else from this lousy post, please remember that. Seriously.
peace
Later today...
I did it. I saw a doctor and got a X-ray. Nothing's broken. I probably just separated some cartilage where the bone and cartilage communicate in the front of my chest, right under my left pec. It's gonna take 4-6 weeks for that baby to heal. Yay.
