I'm frustrated. Really frustrated. I've got this problem that I've had since I was in kindergarten and I can't figure out how to make it go away. I mean, I saw a health care provider today about this problem and even she gave up on me out of sheer frustration and disgust. What gives? I know that we're all human, but damn, I was really hoping to get help from someone and fix this bad boy.

Ugh!

Yes, half way through my session, after arguing back and forth with her, she tells me our session is over and sends me off. Fuck. I pay for a full session and she's the one to throw in the towel and say, "see ya next time" half way through. What a fucking bummer.

The problem is basically this: I piss women off sometimes and they just don't want to have anything to do with me. There's times, most of the time actually, where I don't even know or realize what I've done and they insist that I do and just give up. They tell me to go away. This has happened repeatedly since I was a kindergartener in foster care. My son's mother did this and has disappeared. I don't know where he and she are and she doesn't want me to ever know. It's happened with past friends (most notably, girls) and girlfriends. And today it happened with a resident psychiatrist I'm seeing to learn how to be more effective in my interpersonal relationships. And she sent me home half way through because I pissed her off. She conveyed to me that she was getting burned out by my behavior, we talked about it, I got pissed off about her attitude and shared my thoughts about it, pissing her off and she sent me home.

You know, I just don't believe problems are solved by walking away from them. I believe they're solved by talking through them and I hate it when people give up.

Okay. I'm going to admit, that taking a break from one another until eachother cools down and reasses the situation is sound and reasonable. I just get so frustrated when the other party throws in the towel first all of the time.

Ugh. A personal problem. No doubt.

peace and please vote,

wink

I've taken classes in a therapy called myofascial release; one of the theories behind it is that talk therapy doesn't completely resolve problems because you are only dealing with the logical part of your mind. In myofascial release they deal with every aspect of your body. Mind, physical body and emotions. I have the treatments done myself and its the best thing I've done for myself. Check out Myofascialrelease.com, it might interest you and lead you in a direction of figuring out how to make sense of things. John Barnes started the therapy; he's a great person and very insightful!
